Welcome! I'm Lydia, a certified yoga and pilates instructor based in beautiful Godalming, Surrey. With over 7 years of teaching experience, I’ve had the pleasure of guiding clients through both one-to-one and group classes in studios, online, and everywhere in between.I hold a Level 4 Mat Pilates Diploma and am a qualified Yoga instructor. I specialise in pre- and postnatal support, so whether you’re recovering from pregnancy, injury, or just want to feel stronger and more grounded in your body, I’m here for it.
I worked as a rehabilitation assistant for the NHS, supporting physiotherapists and helping people get back on their feet - literally! That background continues to shape the way I teach: practical, supportive, and tailored to you.
As a mum of two who’s navigated physical injuries myself, I know first-hand how powerful movement can be. For me, Pilates and Yoga are more than fitness, they’re essential tools for staying strong, balanced, and connected.Wherever you’re starting from, I’d love to help you feel good in your body and confident in your movement. Let’s get stronger together.

What Are Yoga and Pilates?

Yoga is a holistic, low-impact practice that combines physical postures, breath control, flexibility, and mindfulness. It strengthens the body, improves mobility and balance, and promotes relaxation through intentional movement and deep breathing. Yoga also helps cultivate mental clarity, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being.Pilates is a full-body, low-impact exercise method that focuses on core strength, flexibility, posture, and controlled movement. It helps you build deep muscle strength, improve balance and coordination, and develop better mind-body awareness.

"I’ve been trying different Pilates classes on and off for a few years, but Lydia is the best instructor I’ve found. She is knowledgeable, patient, and was ready to provide me with adjustments for the areas I was less confident with. My body feels so much stronger and I’m noticing more flexibility."

Ellie Orange

“I had in-person Pilates sessions with Lydia, and I, being a lady of a certain age, found her incredibly patient, understanding, and extremely kind to help me become more flexible. The whole experience with Lydia was a joy, and I definitely recommend her.”

Carole Partington

"I started taking online yoga classes with Lydia in lockdown. The classes were very helpful, and Lydia still managed to help individuals with difficult moves even though we were in many different locations. She is a very encouraging tutor, and her classes were exactly what I needed."

"Lydia is an exceptional teacher. Her 1-1 sessions have been invaluable when I was training for my first half marathon, during my pregnancy and then again with my post partum recovery. Her attention to detail is incredible and I felt my body get stronger through our sessions. I love her teaching style and energy as well."

Ginny Radmall

"Lydia’s classes were fundamental in my fitness routine during Covid. Her in-person Pilates classes translate just as well online, and helped me to keep my body and mind fit and healthy.
